This is a single paragraph excerpt. It hints that a familiar character might be returning. Chip was a lot of fun to write in the Love in Andauk series so I couldn't resist a chance to bring him back. He does actually appear in a short scene later in this book, but there would be spoilers if I posted it here.

That unfinished letter stayed in the back of Katie’s mind during the drive. She was forming her suggestion for how and when they should meet. Sunday afternoon sounded good to her. She was generally peaceful after church. They could have a casual lunch at Burger Brothers. The restaurant in town was owned by a couple of guys – brothers, obviously – and Katie thought one of them was a little scary. That’s why she rarely ate there. If the date went poorly, she wouldn’t have to worry about bad memories ruining a place she liked. And if it went well, maybe she’d have someone to go with her to talk to the scary guy. The burgers were delicious.
